Will AI Replace Jobs?

Epic Transformation

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been a hot topic of conversation in the business world lately. With the inception of ChatGPT, people are wondering if their jobs are at risk– and rightfully so. From what we’ve seen so far, AI has proven to perform tasks quickly and efficiently, like pulling research on a topic, writing blogs, and brainstorming ideas. The question, however, is, does this technology have what it takes to completely replace humans in their careers and perform at the same level? Here’s my perspective on the topic.

The Benefits

It’s no secret that there are benefits to leaning into AI to streamline and delegate certain tasks in order to save time. In my opinion, it would be a missed opportunity not to utilize this revolutionary technology to your advantage. The most important benefits are as follows:

Research: When working on a project or writing assignment, it’s useful to turn to AI to do the bulk of the research for you. The technology is capable of pulling all the same sources off the internet that you would be looking for, and it will save you insurmountable time in your process.

Streamlining: If you are a solopreneur or someone who is in charge of helping your business grow, there are ways to utilize AI to help you perform some of your day-to-day tasks. For example, if you are onboarding a new client, you could turn to AI to come up with questions for the kick-off call or brainstorm ideas for new campaign slogans that you can then evaluate on your own.

Learning Customer Behavior: Another benefit of AI is learning customer behavior, which is a huge part of the marketing journey. When working with a brand, you need to know how its customers act, think, and feel during every phase of the marketing funnel. Artificial intelligence can help you track this information so that you have a wealth of data to work with.

My Perspective

My perspective is this: Artificial intelligence is beneficial for helping supplement a job’s function, however,  it will not be able to replace what a human can produce.

I built my business, Epic Transformation, to help other businesses with strategy. Each strategy is personal, customizable, and unique to their brand. A machine does not have a conceptual viewpoint that can replicate this process. While it can certainly help support the process in many different ways, it cannot possibly provide the same results that I would provide my clients.

If you feel threatened or anxious about the future of AI in your career, my advice would be to stay on the cutting edge of your industry. Make professional development a priority by learning new skills, staying up to date with trends, and learning how to work with AI, not against it.
